Discussion Our results showed that green tea extract at doses of 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg significantly reduced the elevated activities of serum aminotransferases (ALT and AST), alkaline phosphatase and increased the production of proteins including albumin compared to the thioacetamide-treated group
